Civi Land is pleased to announce the commencement of Bioremediation works for oil-contaminated soil under the AWQ1903 Project at the West Qurna-1 Oil Field. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to implementing advanced environmental solutions and sustainable practices for the remediation of oil-contaminated sites and the restoration of affected areas.
The project aims to reduce Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) concentrations and rehabilitate contaminated soil in accordance with approved environmental standards and regulatory requirements. The scope of work includes the preparation and operation of bioremediation treatment areas, optimization of biological treatment processes, and continuous monitoring of key operational parameters such as moisture content and aeration to ensure effective degradation of petroleum contaminants.
In addition, Civi Land has implemented a comprehensive environmental monitoring program involving regular soil sampling and laboratory testing to assess treatment performance, track remediation progress, and verify compliance with project environmental objectives.
Bioremediation utilizes naturally occurring microorganisms to break down and degrade hydrocarbon pollutants, providing an environmentally responsible and sustainable approach to soil restoration while minimizing ecological impact.
