Ambient Air Quality
Ambient air quality standards for the Oil and Gas industry in Iraq are defined by the Ministry of Environment Adopted Ambient Air Quality Standards (2009).
Water Quality
A Surface Water quality monitoring programs has been designed using monitoring parameters that are in line with the Iraqi Law No. 2 of 2001, Regulation for the Preservation of Water Sources and Law 25 of 1967, Regulation of River maintenance, as well as international best practice.
Soil Quality
The Dutch Intervention Values (DMIE. 2009) are widely used guidelines pertaining to soil and groundwater contamination, and have been adopted by the Iraq Ministry of Oil in lieu of formal Iraq regulations.
